Accomodations: Vaujany offers a wide range of accomodations (Hotel, furnished studios or appartments). Please visit the Vaujany tourist office web site or call the tourist office at +33 4 76 807 237. Ask for Annick Basset who is in charge of housing for the chess festival.

Please note:We are still negociating with the different residences available at Vaujany to obtain interesting rates for chess players participating to the festival . We should be able to obtain rates of approximately 300 to 400 euros, for 8, 9 or 10 nights. We will keep you informed.

We recommand also strongly Hotels "Les cimes" and "Le Rissiou", which are small family run hotels, and which will as last year provide very interesting rates: either room + breakfast at 35€ or room + half-board at 48€ per night and per person. A very interesting possibility for players coming alone!

Finally a lot of private rentals are available. Please contact the tourist office if you are interested.

How to come to Vaujany: Coming to Vaujany is easy. You can arrive by train at the Grenoble SNCF station and then take a bus to Vaujany from the close by bus station. The tourist office can help you to organize your transfer to Vaujany if you are a group. The scenic drive from Grenoble to Vaujany along the Romanche river is a pleasure when the weather is nice. If you come by bus from Grenoble you have to take the bus #3000 Grenoble-Bourg d'oisans and stop at Rochetaillée (12kms from Vaujany) please contact the organisers if you plan to come this way and we will pick you up at your arrival at Rochetaillée. Dont hesitate to contact the organisers if you need help and special arrangements.

If you arrive by plane, Lyon St Exupery is the closest airport. Lyon airport is linked to Grenoble by bus shuttles every half hour or every hour depending on the time in the day. Once in Grenoble, you have to take the bus #3000 Grenoble-Bourg d'oisans and stop at Rochetaillée (12kms from Vaujany) please contact the organisers if you plan to come this way and we will pick you up at your arrival at Rochetaillée.
You can also land at Paris Orly or Charles de Gaule airports or at Geneva Cointrin Airport and then take a TGV, a train or a bus to GRENOBLE but it will take more time.
